DISARM !

At all times the sword has been
used as a tool for force.
Force to conquer, rule and control. An expression
of authority and action-power.
The sword has developed. - To
day into guns, cannons, bombs and granates, - hi-jacked civil planes, suicide
bombs, bacterial and chemical weapons.
- And nuclear weapons !
The sword today is so powerful, that we can wipe out each other completely.
It is necessary to call to mind !
All over the world we experience
the sword. - Weapons, violence, terror, - the use of force, police and soldiers.
And
conflicts and violence continues. Again and again it flares up. - In families,
between countries, groups and individuals.
The use of force does not
Love succeeds.

The goal of United Nations is clear. - A world without violence and lasting peace.
The statue in the UN-park is telling: - Beat the sword into another practice for peace !
And as former UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan expressed that wish: - More music into the work.
To answer this, I have beaten the sword into a music instrument, a chime ...
This to signal that the sword from today already, can
act into another practice, than violence and killing.
We can beat the sword into music, and use the music as a defense
against violence, a tool for peace.
